Behrend Athletics Crowned Presidents Cup Champions

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Athletics was crowned the Presidents Cup Champions presented by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) after a successful 2021-22 season. The Lions earned the honor for the most outstanding overall athletics program in the conference 18 out of 19 years the award has existed.

Behrend captured eight conference championships, four in the fall, two in the winter and two in the spring (women's soccer, women's cross country, men's cross country, women's volleyball, women's swimming and diving, men's volleyball, men's tennis, softball) and finished runner up in women's tennis, men's soccer, men's golf, men's swimming and diving and baseball. The Lions earned 103.3 points out of a possible 114 in 15 of the 16 sports sponsored by the AMCC to accumulate a .906 winning percentage.

Penn State Altoona was the runner up with .651 winning percentage (69 points out of a possible 106) in part to winning the men's golf championship. Alfred State, who accumulated a .623 percentage, won the men's swimming and diving title for third place.
