Goodsel Named 2022 AMCC FAR Award Winner

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend former men's volleyball player and graduate student JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) has been named the 2022 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Male Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) Award Winner.

Goodsel was voted on by the FAR's in the conference and chosen among 18 student-athletes named to the AMCC All-Academic Team. He was a four-year member of the men's volleyball team and two-year captain. Goodsel was a two-time All-AMCC selection and was named the 2022 AMCC Player of the Year. He led the Lions to a pair of AMCC Championships and finished in the top 5 in aces, kills and kills per set in Behrend program history.

After completing a triple-major (plastics technology, international business/engineering, and finance) in undergraduate work with a 3.92 grade-point average (GPA), Goodsel earned a master's in manufacturing management in May 2022 with a 4.0 GPA. He was a two-time Behrend Male Scholar Athlete of the Year and was the 2021 International Business and Engineering Student of the Year. Goodsel was a member of the Schreyer's Honors College and the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletic Honor Society. He was named to the Academic All-AMCC team from 2018-2022 and served as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee President this past season. Goodsel is also member of the National Organization of Business and Engineering.
