ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball player Ryan Kragnes (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week, announced on Monday.

Kragnes had an outstanding week for the Lions en route to helping the team capture the 2013 AMCC Championship for the fifth time in program history.  The senior outfielder hit .462 in three tournament games with five runs scored, two RBIs, and two stolen bases.  Kragnes also made several excellent defensive plays in center field for Behrend.

The Lions will next play in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in Terre Haute, Indiana at Art Nehf Field.  Behrend will face two-time defending National Champion Marietta at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
