Men’s Indoor Track & Field Back In Action Saturday at SPIRE

GENEVA, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend men's indoor track & field team was back in action at the SPIRE Midwest Open on Saturday.

Key Moments:

* In the pole vault, Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) tallied a third-place finish with a score of 15-1
* Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) recorded a high jump height of 6-4 ¾ to tie for fourth-place in the event
* Freshman Jake Egizio (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) registered an AARTFC qualifying mark of 7.08 in the 60m prelims
* Egizio would go on to finish 12th in the 200m with a time of 22.49
* Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) notched a ninth-place finish in the shot put with a distance of 44-11 ¾
* In the 5000m, Bennett Kerr (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) and Lucas Boyd (North East, PA/North East) placed 13th and 14th with times of 16:06.82 and 16:07.08, respectively
*  The 4x4 relay team of Egizio, Aiden Seeman (Edinboro, PA/General McLane), Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep), and Jake Walden (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) took 11th, crossing the finish line in a time of 3:30.85
