ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team fell to St. Vincent 156-110 in non-conference action on Saturday.
Diver Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) won both 1m diving events for the Lions. She posted a score of 172.90 for five dives and a total of 218.05 for six dives to put her five points away from an NCAA qualifying score.
Julie Cook (Warren, PA/Warren) took three seconds off her best time in the 200 breaststroke to take first place in 2:42.35. She claimed second in the 100 breaststroke in another season-best time of 1:13.58.
In addition to Cook, Anne Lawrence (State College, PA/State College) won an individual event for Behrend. She recorded a time 2:25.59 in the 200 IM for first place, while taking second in the 100 butterfly (1:03.61).
MaryEllen Spooner (Lockhaven, PA/West Springfield) posted a time of 1:05.32 in the 100 backstroke and time of 2:21.78 in the 200 backstroke for second place in both events.
The Lions captured the 400 freestyle relay with a team of Katie Siffrinn (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillian), Hilary MacManus (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk), Jesse Dunleavy and Cook with a time of 4:03.69.
Behrend returns to action on Tuesday against Gannon. Meet time is 6 p.m.
