ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon University women's swimming and diving team got the best of Penn State Behrend on Tuesday night, posting a 226-55 victory in non-conference action on Tuesday night in the Junker Center.

The opening relay of Katie Siffrinn (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillian), Hilary MacManus (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk), Julie Cook (Warren, PA/Warren) and Anne Lawrence (State College, PA/State College) swam the Lions best time in the 200 medley relay (1:57.41) for third place.

Siffrinn then claimed an individual second place in the 100 backstroke (1:06.39) and third place in the 50-yard backstroke in 30.02, while Cook grabbed third in the 50-yard breaststroke (34.65).

Swimming the 100 butterfly, Lawrence led Behrend with a second-place finish in 1:02.58. She also was the top finisher for the Lions in the 50 butterfly, taking third (28.34).

Jamie Boyle (Sarver, PA/Freeport) and Nicole Nau (Johnstown, PA/Richland) each tallied a season-best time in the 50 free. Boyle took second in 29.32 and Nau touched in 29.96 for fourth overall.

Diver Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) claimed second in the 1m event with a score of 234.95, but got revenge in the 3m diving with first place by two points (237.45).

Siffrinn, MacManus, Cook and Jesse Dunleavy (McMurray, PA/Peters Township) made up the final 400 free relay team that place third with a time of 4:03.12.

Behrend returns to action December 2 at the Fredonia State Invitational. Meet time is 6 p.m.
