Lions Lead Presidents Cup Standings After Fall Season

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend heads into the winter season with a commanding lead in the 2016-17 Presidents Cup Standings. The Lions won five fall Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships to earn 57.25 points out of a possible 64.

The standing are calculated on a percentage of points earned divided by the total possible points. It factors in both regular season and post-season finish to provide a weighted measure of success. Behrend holds a league-high ranking of 0.895 after winning conference title in men's golf, men's and women's cross country, and men's and women's soccer.

Franciscan falls in second place with a 71.8 ranking percentage and Penn State Altoona sits a close third with a 67.2 ranking percentage.

The Lions are looking to capture their 16th Presidents Cup since the award was initiated in the 2000-2001 academic year.
