Andrews Joins NBA Atlanta Hawks Staff

ERIE, Pa. – Former Penn State Behrend men's basketball standout Pat St. Andrews (State College, PA/State College) has been named an assistant in the Basketball Operations Department of the NBA Atlanta Hawks front office.

Andrews, a two-year captain, graduated from Behrend in May 2013 with a master's in business administration. He also earned two bachelor degrees while at Behrend, one in business economics and the other in international business.

Andrews was a four-time AMCC All-Academic choice and earned the Herb Lauffer Memorial Award his senior year. He was the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) President and was chosen to be the student speaker at Commencement in May 2012. Andrews was also a graduate research assistant at the Economic Research Institute of Erie. 

Last season, the Atlanta Hawks finished with an overall record of 44-38 and lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs to the Indiana Pacers. The Hawks open up the 2013-14 year on October 7 with a preseason game at the Miami Heat.
