BUFFALO, NY – Conference season is in full swing, and for the Penn State Behrend men's basketball team, that is a good thing.
For the fourth straight year, the Lions are off to a 2-0 start in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) play. They accomplished that feat today with a 76-57 victory over Mt. Aloysius in Buffalo, NY.
Keith Wallace (Erie, Pa/Central Tech) scored a career high 18 points and Nick Delisio (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) added 14 points and four assists.
The Lions went on a 15-5 run early in the second half to take command.
The run was capped by Chris Dudzenski (Latrobe, PA/Latrobe), who put the game on ice with back-to-back three's early in the second half. The junior finished with eight points and four rebounds.
Zane Hackett (Brookville, PA/Brookville) finished in double-figures for the sixth straight game to start the season. The sophomore had 14 points and seven boards.
Shane Skelly (Westlake, OH/Westlake) had six points to go along with seven rebounds, and three assists.
The Lions out-rebounded their opponent yet again, topping the Mounties on the glass, 32-21.
Behrend returns home next Saturday to meet Medaille at 2 p.m.
