ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's swimmer Mark Patterson (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) and diver Blake Bachner (Freeport, PA/Kiski) were named AMCC Athletes of the Week, announced on Monday.

Patterson on three individual events for the Lions against Westminster on Saturday. He claimed first in the 100 backstroke (53.45), 200 backstroke (1:59.65) and 500 freestyle (4:56.63). All three times land him in the Top 10 in program history for each event.

Bachner was a double winner in the diving events for Behrend. He won the first 1-meter diving competition with a score of 139.10 for five dives. Bachner also won the second one-meter board event in the meet with a score of 185.55 for six dives. Combined he has a score of 324.65 for 11 dives, putting him sixth all-time in program history.

The Lions return to action on Nov. 7 against Chatham. Meet time is 1 p.m.
