ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving senior Victor Nguyen (San Jose, CA/Evergreen Valley) was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 31.

Nguyen posted three wins against Pitt-Bradford. He was instrumental in the opening 200 medley relay with a winning time 1:41.58. The senior then won the 100 breastroke (1:02.26) and the 200 breaststroke (2:19.05) to help Behrend cruise to the victory over Pitt-Bradford. In a tri-meet on Saturday, Nguyren had a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.54 and then took third in the 200 breaststroke (2:22.35).
