ERIE, Pa. – Junior Kevin Koerbel has been named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) men’s golf first team, one of three Behrend golfers selected to the all-conference squad announced on Tuesday.
Koerbel led the Lions with an eighth-place finish at the AMCC Championships, carding a two-day total of 160. This season, he has finished in the top 10 five times and won the Pitt-Bradford Invitational on Sept. 4. Koerbel shot a 79.6 average this fall and had a low-round of 76 on two occasions. This is the second time he has earned all-conference recognition. Koerbel was named to the second team in 2008.
Zach Polanski was chosen to the second team. The sophomore tied for 13th at the conference championship with a score of 163. Polanski ranked second on the team with an 81 average for six rounds. His lowest round this fall was a 79 at the Westminster Autumn Classic on Oct. 4.
Senior Marc Neiswonger earned his first league honors being named to the third team. He tied for 20th with a score of 168 at the AMCC Tournament. Neiswonger averaged 83.9 for nine rounds and carding a low round of 78 to win the Hilbert Invitational on Oct. 3.
