ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team posted a 165-135 victory over the reigning Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) champions Alfred State on Saturday at the Junker Center.

* As a team the Lions won 12 total events, while Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) led with three individual victories and one relay
* Compton, Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey), Dan Tanaskovic (Aliquippa, PA/Central Valley) and Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) started off the 200 medley relay with a winning time of 1:37.24
* Compton the won the 200 butterfly (1:56.56) by a six-second margin, before touching first in the 100 butterfly (52.70) and the 200 IM (2:00.39)
* Tanaskovic and Perham won a pair of individual events after the relay win
* Tanaskovic led a 1-2 finish in the 100 free (49.17) and the 50 free (22.03)
* Perham was the leader in breaststroke events, claiming the top time in the 100 (1:15.61) and then the 200 (2:17.80)
* Tumino won the 200 backstroke in 2:01.95 followed by Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area) in second, who also won the 100 backstroke (55.08)  followed by Tumino in second
* Shane Rupert (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) won the second event of the day in the 1000 free (10:59.59) by four seconds
* Behrend capped off the meet with a win in the 200 free relay thanks to Tumino, Jax Abele (Erie, PA/Iroquois), Tanner Pike (Union City, PA/Union City) and Tanaskovic
* The foursome edged the Pioneers 1:28.97 to 1:29.52 for 11 points
