WHEELING, WV – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team swam past Wheeling 190.5-64.5 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments

* The Behrend Lions finished in first place in 10 of the 14 events on the day
* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny), Ryan Willis (State College, PA/State College), Jax Abele (Erie, PA/Iroquois) and David Hauptman (Titusville, PA/Titusville) were double winners
* Hauptman, Compton, Abele and Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area) started off with a win in the 400 medley relay (3:44.04)
* Compton also won the 200 backstroke (2:08.68), while Hauptman followed with a victory in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.68)
* Willis had two individual wins, touching first in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.32) and in the 100 butterfly (57.55)
* In addition to the relay, Abele swam a 1, 2, 3 finish in the 50 free with a winning time of 23.01
* Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) led Behrend in the 200 free with a first-place time of 1:52.75
* In the 200 butterfly, Jacob Bailey (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) was the first to finish followed by two other Behrend swimmers in second and third
* Bailey tallied a winning time of 2:16.80
* Alexander Kremlin (Dublin, OH/Dublin Jerome) led in the 500 free (5:21.85) and Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) won the 200 IM (2:11.26)
