Men's Tennis Ends Season on Seven-Match Winning Streak

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team finished the 2010-11 season on a seven-match winning streak, playing on their home court for the first time this spring and defeating Malone, 6-3, in non-conference action.

The Lions (12-12) won five out of the six singles matches and one out of three doubles for the victory. Chris Galvin won twice for Behrend, posting a 6-2, 6-3 decision at No. 2 singles and then teaming up with Elliot Blackstone for an 8-2 score at No. 1 doubles.

Chris Tillman and Brian Goda each defeated their opponent in two games. Tillman, competing at No. 3, won 6-3, 6-4 and Goda defeated Michael Brown, 6-0, 6-3.

John Michalko won at No. 6 singles due to retirement with the score at 5-5 in the first game. Jacob Fling tallied the fifth singles victory at the four spot, winning 6-3, 2-6, 7-6.
