CANTON, N.Y. – Mitchell Obenrader (Fryburg, PA/North Clarion) took second place in the javelin throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Last season's national champion, Obenrader fell just short of claiming back-to-back titles. His throw of 215'4" was good for national runner-up, and fell just short of Travon Goddette's toss of 221'5".

In his first two seasons as a Behrend Lion, Obenrader has a first and second place finish in national competition.
