ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team will host four teams for the 2023 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Regional Tournament, beginning on Friday, March 17.

Behrend News & Notes:

* Nic Darrell (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) broke the all-time field block record last weekend. She tallied five over spring break in California to reach 23 career field blocks to break the record
* Darrell currently has 10 field blocks this season to go with 65 steals, 21 assists and 20 goals
* Darrell also set the program record for most steals in a game with 11 against Mt. St. Mary's
* Also in California, Shannon Young (Roseville, CA/Roseville) hit 100 career goals scoring six goals over two matches
* Young leads the team with 24 goals 
* Olivia Wright is first on the team in assists (24) and is second in steals (21)
* Goalie Julie de Deus (Pembroke Pines, FL/Pembroke Pines Charter) has 24 saves and two steals, while Sarah Mancebo (Tulsare, CA/Mission Oak) has 23 saves 
* On Saturday, the Lions will honor the three seniors against Connecticut College
