ERIE, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the academic awards for women's water polo for the Spring 2023 season, presenting seven from Penn State Behrend with accolades.

Kieffer Beckmann (Wildwood, MO/Eureka), Darragh Martin (Green Lane, PA/Upper Perkiomen), Nic Darrell (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) and Marley Persch (Hudsonville, MI/Hudsonville) were each ranked in the outstanding category for carrying a grade-point average (GPA) above 3.70.  Olivia Wright (Fairview, PA/Fairview), Shannon Young (Roseville, CA/Roseville) and Kayla Scarpaci (Cypress, TX/Langham Creek) each earned superior status as they finished with a GPA greater than 3.40.
