HOUGHTON, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team defeated the Houghton Highlanders 3-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

Key Moments:

* The Behrend Lions hit .377 for three sets to earn their first win
* Behrend had double-digit kills in the final two sets and did not commit an attack error in the second set to stop the Highlanders from getting their first win of the season
* Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBeouf) had nine kills on 19 attempts with no errors, while Logan Hering (North East, PA/North East) tallied seven kills on 12 attempts with zero errors
* Josh Elegeer (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) led with 11 digs
* The Lions defense held Houghton to just four kills and forced 11 attack errors in the first set for a 25-12 win
* Behrend only allowed 12 kills combined in the final two sets
* In the second set, Wienczkowski tallied five kills to get the Lions a two-set lead with a 25-14 decision
* Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) and Caden Mealy (Meadville, PA/Meadville) had double-digit assists
* Jackson led with 22 and Mealy added 10 assists and five digs
