Behrend Men's Volleyball Lands Three on All-AMCC Team

ERIE, Pa. – Seniors Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton), along with sophomore Kyle Hoffman (Carlton, PA/Cochranton) were named to the 2024 All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team.

Wienczkowski landed on the second team, while Jackson and Hoffman were selected to the third team.

Wienczkowski is a three-time All-AMCC choice. He earned first-team honors last season and second-team honors in 2022. Wienczkowski ranked first on the squad and second in the conference in hitting percentage (.345). He was second on the team with 175 kills and second in blocks per set (0.84). Wienczkowski had double-digit kills in four games, including a season-high 16 kills vs. Geneva. He recorded two blocks or more in 17 contests, registering six blocks on two occasions.

Jackson was a first-team choice a year ago and received his second All-AMCC accolades on the third team in his final season. The setter registered 661 assists in 27 matches, averaging 7.78 assists per set to rank seventh in the AMCC. Jackson tallied two double-doubles, posting a career-high 54 assists to go with 13 digs in the AMCC semifinals. He added 126 digs, 79 kills and 24 service aces. He was named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team for the second straight year.

Hoffman is earning his first All-Conference honors on the third team. The outside hitter leads the team in kills (200) and kills per set (2.44). Hoffman ranks second on the team with 156 digs, while adding 21 assists and 20 service aces. He recorded double-digit kills in nine matches and posted three double-doubles. Hoffman knocked down a career-high 20 kills, nine digs, five blocks three assists and three aces.
