Behrend Men's Volleyball Takes Wells in Three

AURORA, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team collected their fourth Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) with a 3-0 win over Wells on Wednesday night.  

Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Wells 0 (25- 19, 25-15, 29-27)
Records:  Penn State Behrend (9-13, 4-2 AMCC), Wells (6-20, 0-7 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Behrend Lions improve their all-time record against the Express to 7-2 with the win
* After winning the first two sets, Behrend trailed the entire third set until the final two points
* In an exciting finish in the third set, Dan Easly (Erie, PA/McDowell) had five kills in the final five points to get the Lions a 29-27 victory for the sweep
* Easly finished with a team high in kills and digs with 15 and 8, respectively
* The first set had 11 ties until the Lions took the lead at 19-17 and then won the next six out of eight points for a 25-19 lead
* Wells grabbed the early lead in the second set, but went on a 6-2 run for a 19-12 lead and pulled off a 25-15 decision for a two-set advantage
* Caden Mealy (Meadville, PA/Meadville) led with 30 assists, while Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) added 13 assists
* Kevin Skweres (White Oak, PA/Norwin) tallied seven kills and Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBeouf) posted six kills and three blocks
