ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's basketball team shot a season-high 47.7 percent from the floor, getting four players in double-digit scoring to complete the season sweep of D'Youville 73-53 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Thursday night.

The Lions (9-8, 7-3 AMCC) have now won five of their last six games and tied the largest margin of victory this season with a 20-point effort. Dani Reinwald (Clymer, NY/Clymer Central) and Erika Woll (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) dropped double-doubles in the win.

Reinwald registered a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds to go with a season-best six blocks, while Woll tallied career highs in three pointers (3), rebounds (10) combined with 17 points.

The Spartans (5-12, 2-8 AMCC) had 10 of the 11 players who got in the game score points, led by Colle Wirth's 11.

Behrend set the tone from the opening tip-off, darting out to its best start to any game this season with a 19-0 run in the first six minutes. The Lions held D'Youville scoreless for the first 9:37 and surrendered just a point in the last 20 seconds of the first quarter for a commanding lead.

The Behrend defense continued to hunker down on the Spartans in the second quarter, keeping them to one point until the 5:23 mark. D'Youville only managed one field goal in the first half with the remaining seven points coming from the line for a 30-9 deficit at intermission.

The Lions grabbed their biggest lead to start the third quarter with a pair of layups from Reinwald for a 36-11 advantage.

The Spartans outscored the Lions in the third quarter 19-17, while Behrend held a one-point difference in the fourth (26-25).

Rachael Razzano (New Castle, PA/New Castle) and Heidi Langhorst (Corapolis, PA/Our Lady of the Sacred Heart) finished with 10 points apiece.

In addition to the explosive offense to start, the Lions dominated on the boards with a 55-30 margin including a 37-18 split defensively.

Behrend returns to action Saturday at La Roche. Game time is 4 p.m.
