Women's Soccer Ready To Compete For Seventh Straight AMCC Title

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team will host No. 4 D'Youville in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.

The top-seeded Lions (14-4) received a first-round bye after going 9-0 in the conference and earning the regular-season championship. Behrend will battle the Spartans (8-7-3) at 4:30 p.m. on the turf field after the men's semifinals.  The winner will advance to the championship game to face the winner of No. 2 Mt. Aloysius and No. 3 Franciscan in the second semifinal match up. The highest remaining seed will host the championship game on Saturday.

The champion will earn the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Lions are looking to defend their title from last year in hopes for their conference-leading 13th championship in the 21-year history of the AMCC. Behrend could also become the first team in the conference history to win seven straight championships.

During the regular season, the Lions defeated D'Youville 6-0 at home on September 26. In that game, Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) netted a hat trick and Olivia Belack (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) added a pair of goals for the win.

Oberlander leads the team and is second in NCAA Division III statistics with 28 goals and 61 points. She has set the program record for goals and points in a season. Belack leads the team with eight assists to go with nine goals for 26 points.
