Women's Soccer Announces Team Awards

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team announced their team awards for the 2017 season. The Lions won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship for the seventh year in a row before falling to Ohio Northern in the NCAA first round 2-0.

Senior Jordan Oberlander (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was named the team's Most Valuable Player and was also awarded the Scholarship/Leadership award, tabbing two more accolades to add to her senior year collection. She set new program records for single-season goals and points, scoring 30 goals while adding six assists for a total of 66 points. Oberlander posted 11 multiple-goal games, including two goals in the AMCC final against Franciscan to help secure the title.

Earning the team's Most Improved Award was Amanda Donohue (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley). She finished the season third on the team in goals (8), assists (6), and points (22). Donohue was instrumental in the Lions' offense, netting three game-winning goals in her senior season.

Jordan Trama (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) was named the team's Rookie of the Year. Trama started in 20 of her 21 appearances as an integral part of the midfield. She tallied one goal and four assists in her first year in a Behrend uniform.
