Lions Drop Two

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team dropped two games on Saturday.  The Lions fell to Salem 20-9 before being defeated by Washington and Jefferson, 12-10.

In game one against Salem, Behrend fell behind early and could not overcome a fast start by the Tigers.

Adam Glick (Bonita, CA/Bonita Vista), and Ali Khan (Lake Zurich, IL/Stevenson) led the Lions with two goals each.  Jake DesRoches (Fairfax, VA/WT Woodson), Wes Atkinson (Camarillo, CA/Rio Mesa), Justin Vink (Los Angeles, CA/Granada Hills Charter), and Hasan Khan (Lake Zurich, IL/Stevenson) all contributed one goal.  Ty Elder (Brentwood, CA/Heritage) made 11 saves in net.

In a thrilling game two, Ali Khan led the offense again.  The senior netted five goals.  Glick chipped in two more with Kody Veit (Harleysville, PA/Souderton), Victor Nguyen (San Jose, CA/Evergreen Valley), and DesRoches each scoring once.  Elder made nine saves between the pipes.

The Lions will be back in action Friday to host Notre Dame College at 7 p.m.
