ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Behrend freshman Matt Olimski (San Diego, CA/Otay Ranch) has been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Newcomer of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Olimski set an all-time school and MPSF single-game record with 24 saves in a 17-10 win at Connecticut College. He also recorded a pair of 17-save outings against Washington & Jefferson and La Salle, along with a 13-save effort vs. Iona.

The 71 stops for the week give him an MPSF-high 205 on the season, averaging 14.51 saves per game.

The Lions are back in action when they host Gannon on Saturday. Game time is set for 10 a.m.
