ERIE, Pa. - Five players on the Penn State Behrend men's water polo team were recognized by  the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) for their academic accomplishments outside of the pool.

The ACWPC divided athletes into three teams based on cumulative grade-point average. 77 athletes received Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 145 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 117 Excellent (3.40-3.20) honors.

Troy Valkusky (Drifton, PA/Hazleton) and Greg Kinzler (Plum, PA/Agra Charter Cyber School) were both recognized on the Superior team for achieving cumulative GPAs of 3.71-4.00. Mike Geary (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) was acknowledged on the Outstanding team for mainitaining a GPA of 3.41-3.70. Cam Makin (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Davis Kraft (Houston, TX/Langham Creek) were both recognized on the Excellent team for achieving cumulatives GPAs of 3.20-3.40.
