ERIE, Pa. – Senior women’s water polo player MaryEllen Spooner (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) has been named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III All-Conference Team.

Spooner was one of just 14 players selected and earned a spot on the second team.  She also was named to the All-Tournament Team at the CWPA Championships last weekend.  This season she led the Lions in goals (40), drawn kickouts (30), and field blocks (12).  Spooner also broke the program’s record for goals and drawn kickouts, finishing her career with 146 and 110, respectively.
