BUFFALO, NY – Chelsea Magnusen (Plum, PA/Plum) recorded 21 assists and three aces, while Jessica Woods (Corry, PA/Corry) tallied seven blocks and five assists to lead Penn State Behrend past D'Youville 3-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) volleyball action on Wednesday night.

Magnusen need 11 helpers to reach 1,000 assists for her career and now she stands at 1,010 in her second season with the Lions (9-14, 2-2 AMCC). Behrend posted the three-set victory with scores of 25-16, 25-7 and 25-14. The second set was the least amount of points an opponent scored on the Lions all year.

Stefanie Kelley (Moon Township, PA/Moon) had 12 digs and five aces, and Mary Sperry (Atlantic, PA/Conneaut Lake) contributed seven kills and 13 digs.

For the Spartans, Lara Svennson led with 11 digs and Lucianna Payne made seven kills in the losing effort.

Behrend returns to action on Saturday at La Roche to face the Redhawks and Pitt-Greensburg in AMCC action. Matches begin at 1 p.m.
