Women's Track and Field Compete at Allegheny

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team competed at the Allegheny Gator Invational Saturday afternoon.

Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch) got the day going with a third-place finish in the long jump after jumping to a distance of 4.82 meters. She added a sixth-place finish in the 200 meter dash after running to a time of 27.22

Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) was edged in the 100 meter dash finals, finishing just .02 seconds shy of the winner after posting a time of 12.54. She then went on to win the 200 meter race with a time of 25.58.

Rachel Pell (Pittsburgh,PA/Baldwin) earned a second-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles, crossing the line in 102:88.

In the 800 meter run, Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) finished fifth with a time of 2:16.46. She then placed third in the 1500 meter race with a time of 4:50.86.

In the 3000 meter steeplechase, Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) came in fifth after crossing the finish in 11:48.60.

Myeisha Sanders (Erie, PA/East) placed ninth in the discus with a throw of 35.34 meters.

Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford Area) finished off the Lions day with a seventh place finish in the 5000 meter run, finishing in a time of 19:38.08.
