Lions Place Eighth at Mt. Aloysius Invitational

CRESSON, Pa.  – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished seventh out of eight teams with a team score of 336 at the Mt. Aloysius Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

St. Francis won the invitational with a 307 total and had the individual medalists in Kevin Fawcett with a low score of 70 on the day. La Roche placed second (310) and Penn State Altoona took third (318).

Dante Vetica (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Catholic) paced the Lions with a score of 81, while Alec Italiano (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) and Dan L'Herbier (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) each tied for second on the squad with an 84.

Zach Polanski (Erie, PA/McDowell) carded an 87 for fourth place for Behrend and Eric Anderson (Franklin, PA/Charleroi) rounded out the Lions' top five with a score of 95.

The Lions return to action on Tuesday at the D'Youville Invitational. Tee time is 12 p.m.
