Men's Golf Ties for Second at Thiel Inviational

GREENVILLE, Pa.  – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished tied for second place with a team score of 328 at the Tam O'Shanter Collegiate Invitational held by Thiel on Saturday afternoon.

Westminster won the tournament with a team total of 324 while Thiel's "A" team tied the Lions for second.

Dante Vetica (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Catholic) was two strokes away from the individual medalist with a team-low score of 80 to tie for fourth overall. Zach Polanski and Dan Corbin tied for sixth on the day with an 81, while Alec Italiano carded an 86 to finish tied for 14th.

Eric Anderson was the fifth golfer for Behrend, ending with an 89 for the Par 72 course.

The Lions return to action on Friday, April 13 at the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational.
