ERIE, Pa. – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) and Andrew Neder (Erie, PA/Fairview) were named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.

Both members of the Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team helped the Lions start the year off right with back-to-back non-conference victories this past weekend.

Simon broke the pool and program record swimming the first leg of the 200 yard medley relay for a record-setting time of 23.61 in the 50 backstroke against Allegheny on Friday night. Over two meets, he tallied three relay and three individual victories for a pair of wins.

Neder took second in the 1-meter competitions in both meets, while placing first in the 3-meter against Allegheny.
