ERIE, Pa. – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) and Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) were named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.

Simon broke two records and tied another for Behrend against St. Vincent on Saturday. He won the 100 backstroke (52.53) breaking the St. Vincent pool record, while breaking his own record in the 50 back in his first leg of the 200 medley relay with a time of 23.24. Simon also touched first in the 200 back and tied his 50 free record in the opening leg of the 200 free relay.

Wade broke her 1-meter 11 dives record this weekend against St. Vincent with a score of 456.25. She also broke the 11-dives three-meter board team record with a 491.80 total. Both scores were NCAA qualifying scores.

For Simon, this is the fourth time he was named Swimmer of the Week and for Wade it is her sixth time earning the honor.

The Lions are now gearing up for the AMCC Championships, beginning on Wednesday, February 13.
