Lions Drop Two at Convergence Tournament

LA VERNE, Calif.  – On the final day in California, playing in the Convergence Tournament, the Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team dropped a 21-8 decision to Occidental and fell 20-1 to Cal Baptist on Saturday.

Against Occidental, the Lions got three goals apiece from Colin McGarry and Ali Khan. Nick Loukides added a pair of goals, while Chris Dunleavy made eight stops in the cage.  Khan also had two assists and McGarry made a team-best three steals.

Sam Hyrne tallied the lone goal against Cal Baptist, scoring on his only shot taken. Dunleavy added three saves to give him 11 on the day.

Behrend returns to action on at Salem on Saturday. The Lions will also face Washington & Jefferson. Game times are at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.
