Men's Water Polo Sets School Record for Wins

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Jacob Johannes scored a game-high five goals and Jake DesRoches added three to lead the Penn State Behrend men’s water polo over Salem International 13-4 to finish in ninth place at the Southern Championships this weekend. 

With the victory, the Lions (7-20) set a new school records for most wins in a season with seven. Josh Sebrosky and Eric Pierce netted two goals apiece, while Brandon Horsch made six saves and Ali Khan contributed two stops. 

Behrend took a slight 2-1 lead after the first quarter. Both teams scored three goals each in the second quarter to keep it a one-goal game heading into the final two quarters. 

The Lions defense did not allow another Salem goal and the offense blasted eight more goals spread over two quarters for the victory. 

Chris Dunleavy, who took a break from his goalie duties, also scored a goal for Behrend.
