NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team got revenge on Washington & Jefferson, defeating the President’s 15-9 to finish in fourth place at the Division III Eastern Championships on Sunday afternoon at Connecticut College.
Washington & Jefferson won the last two out of three meetings against the Lions, including a 7-6 win yesterday. Behrend got the last say this weekend, taking a 7-4 lead at halftime and then using a 5-2 scoring advantage in the third quarter for the victory. Colin McGarry was named to the All-Tournament second team.
Sam Hyrne had a repeat performance from Saturday, scoring a team-high four goals. McGarry added a hat trick, while Nick Loukides and Max Hrbal each scored twice.
Chris Dunleavy made three saves in the win and Nick Pabich also netted a goal.
