Golf Places 10th at Guy W. Kuhn Invitational

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team tied for 10th out of 16 teams with a two-day score of 627 at the Guy W. Kuhn Invitational held by Allegheny at the Country Club of Meadville on Monday.

The Lions carded a 315 on day one and came back today to shoot a 312 for a 627 total. Wittenberg remained out front for first with a 594 team score. Carnegie Mellon was second with a 608 and Ohio Wesleyan was a stroke ahead with a 609 for third place.

Ryder Grignol (Erie, PA/McDowell) continued to lead Behrend, matching his score from day one with a 75 for a 150 total. The sophomore was first on the team and tied for 11th overall. JT Kuchnicki (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) tallied a 79 on day two of competition for a 156 total, finishing tied for 37th place.

Noah Kunst (Kittanning, PA/Kittanning) went from tying for 70th up to 61st place with a 161 two-day score. The sophomore carded a 79 today, combined with a 77 from yesterday. Ryan Matlock (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) tied Kunst with a 161, recording an 80 and 81 for the course.

Cody Stinson (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) took four strokes off from yesterday, posting an 80 on the second day for a 164 total (T76).

The Lions return to action on Saturday at the Penn State Altoona Invitational, beginning at 12 p.m.
