Men's Golf Competes at Mercyhurst Invitational

NORTH EAST, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team placed 10th out of 16 teams at the two-day Mercyhurst Invitational held on Sunday and Monday at Lake View Country Club in North East, Pa.

The hosts won the invitational with a low score of 599, while Millersville and West Chester tied for second place with a 605.

Sean Sculley led the Lions, who totaled a 647 for the invitational, with a two-day score of 158 (79-79). Ryan Matlock (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst) was second on the team, carding an 81 on both days for a 162 total.

Noah Kunst (Kittanning, PA/Kittanning) tallied an 80 on day one and 83 for a 163, and third on the team. Ryder Grignol (Erie, PA/McDowell) was fourth on the team with a 166 (82-84), while JT Kuchnicki (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) recorded a 167 (85-82) for the fifth and final score for Behrend.

The Lions return to action on Wednesday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, beginning at 10 a.m.
