ERIE, Pa. - Senior Nick Kost (Ashburg, VA/Stone Bridge) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Swimmer of the Week, while sophomore Mark Patterson earned CollegeSwimming Men's Conference Swimmer of the Week.
Kost won three individual events and swam on two winning relays over the four-day AMCC Championshiops. He won every event he competed in, claiming first place in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 breaststroke in which he set a new team and pool record. Kost also swam on the winning 800 free relay that broke four records and the 400 free relay.
Patterson won three individual events and helped four relays win first place for the Lions this weekend. He touched first in the 500 freestyle, shattering multiple records with a time of 4:40.49. Patterson also won the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke to repeat as champion with a winning time of 1:50.94. He also set records with the 400 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay.
Kost and Patterson led the Lions to their 11th straight AMCC Championship and tied for the highest-point winner of the meet.
