In all, Behrend raised $1,805 that will go directly to the local Special Olympics, $1,600 of which was raised by the water polo program. "I'm very proud of the men and women for the amount of money they raised," said head coach Joe Tristan. "It was great to see them take this opportunity and really put their hearts into it."

Troy Valkusky, captain of the men's water polo team and Vice President of SAAC said "It was more than just raising money, but it allows the special olympic athletes, that want to compete and enjoy the sport they love as much as us, a chance to do so."

Although the water was cold, when asked if everyone would do it again, then all agreed they would not hesitate to participate.
