Bourquin, Myers Named To All-AMCC Team

ERIE, Pa. – Senior forwards Holly Bourquin (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and Julia Myers (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) have been named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women's Basketball All-Conference team, announced today.

Bourquin is earning her third spot on the all-conference team, repeating as a second-team choice from a year ago. She ranked second on the team in points (11.5) and rebounds (6.5), and was third in the AMCC in field-goal percentage (.485). Bourquin also averaged 71.8 percent from the free-throw line. She reached 1,000 points for her career and currently sits fourth in the record books with 1,150 points to date.

Myers was selected as a second-team choice for her first postseason honor. She led the team in points and rebound, nearly averaging a double-double with 13.0 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Myers' rebounds ranked her second in the conference. She recorded 12 double-doubles this season, scoring a career-high 26 points on two occasions. Myers also led the team in blocks and shot 42.6 percent from the floor. 

Behrend earned its third straight and 10th overall bid to the ECAC South Region Tournament. The Lions will travel to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday night in first-round action, beginning at 7 p.m.
