The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team was defeated by the Penn State Altoona Lions on Wednesday, November 4 in the semi-final match of the AMCC Tournament.  Penn State Altoona won the game by a score of 1-0. The game was played at Fredonia State University due to the conditions at the Behrend Fields.

Both teams came out with a defensive oriented approach as neither team had a solid opportunity to capitalize on putting the ball into the net.  At the 18:36 mark of the first half, Behrend goalkeeper Kayla Frost (Venetia/Peters Township) made a terrific save on a shot by Altoona's Emily Reimold to keep the game at a scoreless tie.  The first half saw Altoona outshoot the blue and white nine to five but the score remained 0-0.

The second half was even more intense than the first as both teams battled back and forth to find any opportunity at the goal.  With almost 21 minutes remaining in the contest, Altoona's Reimold took a break away and scored on a one on one matchup with Frost to make the score 1-0 in favor of Altoona.  Behrend's best look of the game came at the 11:08 mark when junior Erin McCreary (Pittsburgh/Seton-LaSalle) had a shot on goal but could not convert.  The game ended with Altoona holding that 1-0 score.  The Behrend Lions were outshot 16-12 and both teams had five shots on goal.

With the loss, the blue and white's record is now 13-3-3.
