Two School Records Broken at ECAC's

BOSTON, Ma. – The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team took part in the 2014 ECAC Indoor Championships March 7-8.

In the 200 meter dash, Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) came in second in her section and broke her own Behrend indoor record with a time of 26.11.

The 4x200 meter relay saw the Behrend foursome of Franki DiSalvo (Erie, PA/McDowell), Allen, Jen Gibson (Hookstown, PA/South Slide), and Katie Spade (Warren, PA/Warren) set another school record with a time of 1:47.53.

In the 5000m run, Catie Bertges (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) finished 16th with a time of 18:21.39, while Haley Huges (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) came in 28th at 19.03.71.

Spade later finished eighth in her section in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:20.76. The Lions team of DiSalvo, Allen, Spade, and Abby Gilmore Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) ran the 4X400 in a time of 4:08.64.

Next up, Behrend will travel to Cal (PA) on March 22.
