GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track and field team traveled south to compete in the Grove City Mini Invitational on Friday afternoon at Thorn Field.

In the 4x100 meter relay, the Lions team of Franki DiSalvo (Erie, PA/McDowell), Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler), Jen Gibson (Hookstown, PA/South Side), and Katie Spade (Warren, PA/Warren) set a new Behrend outdoor record, finishing first with an ECAC-qualifying time of 49.51 seconds.

Spade then broke the Behrend outdoor record in the 400 meter dash. The senior won the event, clocking in at 58.59 seconds. That mark qualifies Spade for ECAC's.

The Lions will take part in the eighth annual Gator Invitational at Allegheny College on Friday, May 9 at 9 a.m.
