ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior baseball pitcher Derrick Shields (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and freshman men's tennis player Ritvik Nadikude (Hyderabad, India/The Gaudium School) were named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Shields, the AMCC Pitcher of the Week, struck out a career-high 13 batters over six innings of work in a 6-5 win against Dominican on Saturday. He allowed three unearned runs on four hits, while walking four. He left in the sixth inning, with a 0.0 ERA, and the Lions ahead by two runs at the time. 

Nadikude, the AMCC Tennis Player of the Week, went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and doubles competition this weekend. He did not surrender a set point in singles vs. W&J. Nadikude is on a five-match winning streak in singles and doubles.
