Behrend Athletics Crowned Presidents Cup Champions

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Athletics was crowned the Presidents Cup Champions presented by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) after a successful 2022-23 season. The Lions earned the honor for the most outstanding overall athletics program in the conference 20 of the 21 years the award has existed.

Behrend captured three conference championships, two in the fall and one in the spring (women's cross country, men's cross country, men's tennis) and finished runner up in women's tennis, women's volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, women's basketball, men's volleyball and softball. The Lions earned 88 points out of a possible 106 in the 17 sports sponsored by the AMCC to accumulate a .830 winning percentage.

Penn State Altoona was the runner up with .653 winning percentage (60.75 points out of a possible 93) in part to winning the men's golf, baseball and softball championships. Alfred State, who accumulated a .605 percentage, won the men's and women's swimming and diving titles, wrestling and women's volleyball for third place.
