Men's Soccer Announces Team Awards

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team announced their team awards last Thursday. The Lions had the best start in program history this season, but were cut short in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) finals via penalty kicks.

Mike Worthy (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) and Evan Augustine (South Park, PA/South Park) were named co-Most Valuable Players. Worthy and Augustine were the backbone of the Lions defense this season. The pair helped in securing 11 team shutouts. Worthy scored one goal and added an assist this season while Augustine tallied four goals. They were both All-AMCC first-team honorees.

Earning the team's Most Improved Award, Josh Kolarac (Imperial, PA/West Allegheny) started in 19 of his 20 appearances as a defender becoming a key part of Behrend's nearly impenetrable defense.

Nick McKee (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) was named the team's Newcomer of the Year. McKee played in 13 games in his first year and recorded two goals.
