ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's soccer senior defender Mike Worthy (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-East Region second team.

Worthy's success in the classroom as a finance major with a 3.50 cumulative GPA, coupled with his accomplishments on the field, gave him second-team honors. Worthy started every game in his four-year career at Behrend which set a new all-time games played record (88) this season.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career, start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team.
