ERIE, Pa. – Junior Clay Altemose (Apollo, PA/Apollo-Ridge) and sophomore Lucas Kachurick (McKeesport, PA/Elizabeth Forward) were named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.
Altemose was a part of two team and two pool records at the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invite this weekend. He swam a leg on the winning 400 MR, 200 Free Relay, and 200 MR. Both medley relays set a team record. Individually, he won the 100 and 200 butterfly.
Kachurick was runner up out of 12 divers in the 1-meter competition with a score of 462.40 for 11 dives. He also placed third in the three-meter diving with an 11-dive total of 413.15.
The Lions return to action on Saturday against Westminster. Meet time is 1 p.m.
